Easter at Grandpa and Grandma Hayes'

Logan got his birthday present from G and G while we were there. He was so excited to get this 4-wheeler. He loves our real one.
My little (o-k, younger) sister Cathryn's birthday is on the 28th so we celebrated for her and Logan.

This is a Mickey Mouse flashlight. He likes it too! But mostly he loves Grandpa!
My oldest nephew's Brandon and Christian hid the eggs behind G and G house. The kids had so much fun finding them.
This is my sister Christine's second to the youngest of seven, Fredrick. He and Logan are a lot alike. Very adventurous. The sat down together to eat their spoils!
Kylee and Summer. They are getting so big.
Cheese!
I was so glad to get the idea from lots of friends and family to not forget the true meaning of Easter, so on Saturday night the girls and I made Easter story cookies. I have had the instructions for a couple of years, I don't even remember where I got it. It was perfect. With each ingredient you tell a part of the story of the crucifiction and the resurrection. Then you put the cookies in the oven, turn it off and seal it up (with tape) and wait till morning, like Jesus' friends and diciples waited. So Easter morning we read about the resurrection and ate cookies. I think it helped the kids see what is more important. Although, I sure laughed later when in our primary class the other teacher asked if Easter was about candy and Summer yelled "Yes!" Well maybe it will stay in her brain a little longer next year!

Logan's Birthday

I can't believe that my baby is 2. I love watching a newborn grow, but when they hit 2, there is just something special about them. Of course he is testing his limits (by yelling "no" at me and giving me "my" scolding face) but he is also learning so many new things. This is my favorite age! We sure had fun today. There are a lot of pictures so bare with me!

We decided to go play at the park. Logan was so happy. He learned today to go down the slide by himself!!

Then we went to Kylee's SEP's and after decided icecream would be fun. Here in Santaquin there is a place called The Big Red Barn. It's in the middle of an orchard and they sell fresh fruit, flowers, and jam's, etc. They also have fudge, and of course icecream. We had fun

Grandma Ovards package came today! So Logan got to wear his new outfit. He also got two more. He is looking so grown up. Grandma is so nice to get Kylee three pairs of shorts for Summer time with three shirts to match and Grandma thought Summer needed something too. I think they look so cute!

Just playing with Dad. He was so excited when he got home!

He loved his dinosaur cake! I have to say I am pretty proud of myself. The head is on the left side. I think its a brontosaurus.

Of couse presents are fun too! He got a truck a train and some animals and he loved them all!

Just being silly

I was just making sure my camera was ready for Logan's birthday and they wanted pictures of them making funny faces. Whatever!

We talked Logan into giving everyone kisses. He thought it was fun!

Logan's poor mouth

A few weeks ago Logan kept having fever's and was really grumpy, it was a holiday weekend so I didn't take him into the doctor and not until this week did I notice he got a new molar.

Then he started with the fevers again and I saw another molar coming so I thought that was it. Well by Tuesday he woke up with really stinky breath and a sore I saw on his tongue was bigger. So I took him to the doctor and the poor kid has herpes angina. It's also called hand foot and mouth disease. It's viral so no medicine and he has sores all over his mouth. He doesn't have it on his hands or any other part of his body, but he is so cranky. It's hard cause I know he is hurting, but he yells no at me for everything I ask him, and if I get him something he won't try it (like jell-o) and he throws it (like his milk or juice). I still want to get mad and yell at him, but I know he's sick. It usually lasts 3-5 days and we are on day three now. AAAAAAHHH! I know we'll survive. I am glad he loves me so much though. He is still a momma's boy!

The white spot on his tongue is a sore. I feel bad for him.

My stroller organizer

I hope I'm not bragging but I am so proud of myself. I go on walks all the time, well I will now that it is finally getting warm enough, and I never have a place to put my water and all the kids snacks and the garage door opener, etc. Well now I do. I found some old fabric Jeremy's mom gave me and some old holey pants and took off the pockets and used Velcro for the tabs to make it stay. I can't wait to use it!!! I just wish I could jog. I did all last summer and its hard now that I can't. I crave it. But I'll keep walking until the doctor says I have to stop.

Such a sweet but total boy!

Logan found the girls play earring and knew where it goes and had to have it on! He loved it.
He wears their Sunday shoes and necklaces and dresses etc.

Then later he was wearing Jers hat (of course he says "mine" when I say its dads) and pushing around his dump truck. I love that he is well rounded. Jer says we should throw away all girl stuff. Ha Ha!

Spotlight of the week

Kylee helped me make this poster. Her teacher calls them the Top Banana of the week.
She found the pictures she wanted and the apron. I added a picture of her in the NICU when she was born. She told me her favorite movie is the Little Mermaid (I told her that was my favorite movie when I was young) and she loves to play life and soccor. So we stuck pieces of the game on and the inside of the movie and her soccor picture. I think it turned out cute. She was proud.

Kylee's Birthday

I got this idea out of a book. I think its cute.

They don't care that its Kylee's birthday, they just want a picture!

I was pretty much the only one that sang Happy Birthday. Poor kid!
I think her birthday turned out o-k. I have a hard time with big birthday parties. Mostly cause I can't afford it, and cause I want my kids to want to be with family more than friends. We comprimised that every even year you can have friends over. So thats next year, and she gets baptized. Wow. I can't belive that. When she woke up, I had streamers across her bedroom door. She thought that was so cool. I heard her tell Logan when he got up that it was her birthday. She took a shower and when she was done I saw that she had wrote Happy Birthday on the foggy mirror. She's so funny. When she got home from school, I had more streamers on the front door and a birthday sign in the living room. (I love the dollar store!) After homework we got to go to my sister Cynthia's (just 5 minutes away) and see Grandma Hayes. (Cynthia had baby #4 on the 20th, a boy Titan, and Grandma was sleeping over to help out) Grandma gave Kylee a journal and pencil case. She loves it. Then grandma had to go run and errand for Cynthia so we went home, had Kylee's favorite, taco's, and opened presents with Jer. We got her a bunch of color wonder paints. She loves to draw and paint. Then grandma and cousin Loryn came over for cake and icecream. (We started without them) I hope she liked her birthday. I want her to know she is special, even if we can't afford big things.
