Logan is 4!

Jenna just wanted food. No pictures please!
I know, random. But I was so proud of how this turned out! I got this recipe from my friend Larissa. Hers looked much better, but it still tasted so good. It's BBQ chicken braid. Mmm.
I think it looks so good!
Kylee got to tell her accomplishments at her activity days spotnite. She was so nervous cause she was first, but she did an awesome job. She talked about how she likes to cook and write in her journal. She is such a sweet girl.

Logan's Birthday was Saturday. I can't believe he's 4! He's been talking about it forever, and was so excited to tell everyone today that he's 4! His first present of the day was one from Grandma and Grandpa Ovard. He loves trucks and was so excited for this outfit. My favorite thing about him lately is that he says the funniest things. Especially when he prays. We pray together every night, and sometimes I can't help but laugh. My favorite one is when he wished that he could fly! He's so sweet too. He has prayed before for his teachers, and for Dad to take him to church in the truck. He's so dang cute!
Logan was so excited to go to the Sportsman's Expo. He loves seeing the tractors, and motorcycles. We also got to see some dogs jumping for distance into a pool, and some baby bears from bear world. Of course Jenna wanted attention too.The kids got to try fishing. They all thought it was so cool. Everyone got 10 min. to try to catch one. They all got lots of bites. But none stayed on. It was still fun though.Of course the best part though, it sitting in all the tractors! Even Jenna loved it.

After the Expo, we went to the cabin to drop off the flooring that will go in there. The kids had fun running around for a few minutes. It was still pretty cold though. They were glad to get back in the truck and go.

I caught Jeremy using the "facilities"! It think it's his favorite thing about being at the ranch. He doesn't have to use the outhouse.

Of course Logan wanted to go too. He got to go off the deck.
I wish I took pictures with my camera, but on the way home we got to stop and see Grandpa and Grandma Hayes. We got to go on Grandpa's bus and play for a while! It was so fun! Grandpa took pictures. I'll have to have him e-mail them to me. Logan got a cool barn building kit, which he loves! It was so fun to see G and G too!

When we got home, Logan got to open his present from us. He loves transformers! Although he still keeps asking for an Optimus Prime. I might need to go find one.
I've been helping make quilts every week at the church, for humanitarian aid. Then Grandma Ovard gave me some good fabric, so I decided to make my first quilt for us! So, Saturday night, after birthday stuff we set up the quilt. I borrowed the frames from my ward, and had to re-arrange the living room. Kylee helped me tie it, and Jer helped me roll it. It was so fun!
I think it turned out pretty good!
We decided to do Logan's cake on Sunday. Saturday was too busy. I'm glad we waited. It turned out pretty good.
He couldn't wait to get the cars and motorcycle off!
Apparently he loves his motorcycle and little transformers. He told me 3 times, "Mom, thanks for buying these for me!" Sometimes he is the sweetest little boy!
I love this skirt! It is a hand-me-down. I love when people give me there clothes they don't need! I think she looks so cute. (Something funny about Jenna: She likes to clean between her toes! She pulls her socks off and gets the fuzzies out with her fingers. She's so funny)
Summer lost the other front tooth! You could tell that the new one was growing in, cause her baby tooth was moving sideways. She looks so cute missing both!
My newest hat. This one was so fast and easy to make. I think it's way cute!

St. Patrick's Day

I do love holiday's. It's fun to have an excuse to do something different and have some fun too. But I try to not go all out and make a huge deal, for a number of reasons. One is so they won't always expect too much. They won't always be able to get everything they want (By choice. I chose to stay at home and be Mom, so we don't have as much income. I think the benefits definitely outweigh the not having so much money!) I also don't want them to want physical things as much as spending quality time with family! Family lasts forever. "Things" don't. I also worry about their faith. I love pretending and having them believe in imaginary things for a while, but I never want them to doubt about spiritual things. My mom did a great job at dividing the two, so I had fun and I also knew what was true. I hope to be able to do the same.

That said, here are some pics of our fun green day!

We had green oatmeal for breakfast with our green smoothie (something we have most day's actually) Jenna loved the oatmeal! Then for dinner we had green eggs with sausage, and green pancakes. It was fun!

Kylee and I had to eat in a hurry because we had to get to her SEP's!

The Kindergarten Field Trip

I was so lucky to be able to go with Summer on her Kindergarten Field trip. Kylee had been coughing so she stayed home and helped with Logan and Jenna, who got to go to the church while the ladies did humanitarian (my friends Sybil and Chris watched them) and watch movies and play. Then Sybil took them to Joy's house (Stake Primary Pres.) and after a little clinging to Kylee, Joy got to cuddle Jenna and got her to take a nap! I was way impressed!

I got to be over Summer and 3 of her classmates. Jaeyson (that may be wrong but I know he spells it wierd), Cole and Emmy(who is in our ward). We had a great time. We rode the bus to the Scera theatre in Orem and watched the cutest play called "If you give a mouse a cookie" (Obviously made after the book of the same title). We each got a little cup of popcorn, a juice box, and a piece of candy. Then we walked over to the park to eat our lunch and let the kids play for a few minutes. Then we got back on the bus and went to the Beane Museum at BYU. If any of you haven't been there, you should go. It's free and so fun to see the many different animals! It's just East of the Marriott Center.

I had them hold hands going in to the theatre and to and from the park, cause there were so many kids, I didn't want anyone getting lost. Well I guess Cole really liked holding Summer's hand so all through the museum he kept saying "Summer lets hold hands". It was cute cause their still young, but Summer had no clue and I think Cole knew exactly what he was doing. I'll have to keep this in mind as she gets older. We may have to have a chat :)

Sickness, a little fun, and the DENTIST!

Well we've had a quite a bit of sickness lately. It started with Kylee before the Zoo, Summer at and after the Zoo, then Jenna after Summer. Jenna was the worst. Fevers, coughs and no sleep. Thankfully she is back to her normal self now.

This picture is not my sweet Jenna. She never just lays there. So sad. It was sad until Monday. She was eating again and hadn't had a fever since the Friday before, so I new she was better, but she was still cranky and wanted to be held. By then I didn't feel as bad anymore. Then I was just annoyed. Today I noticed though, that her eye teeth are finally about to come in! Poor kid. Everything happened at once! I'm just glad she's back to normal.

The girls dressed themselves for Dr. Seuss' birthday. Thing one and Thing two of course. I did their hair. That explains a lot huh. I don't do hair! Never have never will. I'm glad Kylee and Summer like to. (My sister Cynthia did my hair more than I did growing up. I think that is partly why I keep mine short.)

Then on Thursday Summer, Logan and I had our 6 month dental check ups. Everything went great! Summer's front tooth was definitely ready to come out and she asked the dentist to pull it. Pop, and out it came. She was so excited! And she had no cavities!

I also had no cavities. But of course they recommend I replace two crowns and a filling. Probably not. Then it came to Logan. He did awesome. They got x-ray's he was so happy the whole time and did great. But then I found out that he has 11 cavities and it would cost $700 dollars to fix them! Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me! There is no way I would spend that much on a almost 4 year old's teeth. Even if it's the teeth he'll have till he's 12 or so. I won't spend that much on me!

Recently I have learned a lot about using plants that our Heavenly Father made to help our bodies. So I looked into how to clean and fix cavities. I can afford $50 dollars, not $700! My awesome sister and nutritionist, Cynthia, told me about x-ceptic and Complete Bone and Tissue. They both are made up of plants that can help heal. The x-ceptic has garlic, cayenne, comfrey, and Golden Seal in it (and a couple more things) But together they will kill any germs in there eating his tooth, and start to heal the hole. The Complete Bone and Tissue will also help with healing the hole. They both do not taste good, and in fact, recently the FDA made them put on the bottle of x-ceptic that it is for external use only, even though these herbs have been used internally safely since the beginning of time. So I put a drop on every tooth with a cavity, daily after he brushes his teeth. I will also brush and floss his teeth twice a day, even after they heal! I could have prevented this in the first place. He brushes his teeth every night. Just not good enough, and I never flossed :( Anyway, I will also give him the Complete Bone and Tissue three times a day in some juice. I look forward to the next 6 month check up, so I can look at the x-rays and see how well it worked! I'll let you know!

Kylee is 9!

My sweet Kylee is 9 years old! She is so much fun! I have loved watching her grow this year. She is still so helpful and loving! She is in 3rd grade, and in a 4H cooking class. She loves to cook. I love having her help me! This year she has been so much more social. She has a way cute best friend named Aubrey, and she talks about boys. She still gets embarrassed when I ask her about them. She loves to sing and often plays American Idol at recess. She is shy, but at the same time is not. It's hard to explain. She tries things that I would think she wouldn't.

I love having her so grown up and look forward to this next year! I'm enjoying every moment, cause I know it will fly by!
Kylee and Aubrey. She forgot her library books and her class treats. I was glad I could bring them and see her!
This is Landon. He was trying to hide from me, but I got him. He likes Kylee! It's totally obvious! He gave her the cutest Valentine! I think Kylee likes him too. They are so funny! Kylee told me that he say's she sings good. He plays American Idol too!
Kylee's free Birthday lunch at Wingers!
She almost didn't want to eat her dessert. Her stomach hurt cause she was so nervous! She got her ears pierced after this. They both wanted to look in Bath and Body Works. Shopping already!
It was way crowded, so Jer and Jenna stayed out to watch Kylee!
Before! She was so nervous!
After! She said she didn't even feel it! Right after she thanked me for letting her get her ears pierced. Then at least 10 more times, she told me she was so glad she decided to do it!
I can't believe that in all the crazyness (Aubrey's surprise sleep over, her favorite dinner, mall shopping and ear piercing, with a birthday lunch) I forgot to make her a cake! That is horrible! We ended up going to Dairy Queen and letting her pick out an icecream cake. It was o-k. I may have to make her one this weekend. We'll see.
That night Grandma Ovard babysat so Jer and I could go to a movie. Thank you Grandma! When we got back, we found Logan's door open and his light on. I found him asleep on Kylee's bed. I put him back in his room and shut the door. A minute later, he started laughing hysterically. It was so funny! He was still sleeping. I wish I knew what he was dreaming about!

Of course I have to put pictures of Jenna! I love my chunky baby! She wanted me to put on these glasses and the apron!

P.S. I also had my 1 month eye exam on Friday and you'll never guess! The doctor was so amazed at how good they looked. And my eye sight is 20/15! Isn't that awesome!
