Swimming for fun

It was fun to let the kids just play one day after swim lessons. We came again the next day later after lunch and had fun both times.I'm glad they aren't afraid to get sprayed. They loved going under the water.

Uncle Brady came over with their two kids while Kaitlyn was at work. Jackson was hesitant at first, but loved it when daddy got in with him. Cute Maddy slept almost the whole time.

I need to take them to the Payson pool once before school starts. It's a really fun pool.

Grandma's poor dogs weren't sure what to do the first little while we were there. I didn't get a picture of Lucy. She was the most scared of the kids. She ended up playing ball with Kylee before we left though. This is Abby. She got used to the kids fast. In fact at meal time she knew to stand by Jenna to get something off the floor. Jenna was afraid of them both at first, but she sure warmed up later. I really like both of their dogs!

The Jelly Belly Factory!

On the second Wednesday, after swim lessons, we got to go to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairview or something near Sacramento CA. It's only 3 hrs away. We talked Uncle Austin into coming with us. I hope he had fun. We sure loved it!

Hmm? What?

Jenna freaked out when Mr Jelly Bean walked by. She was terrified. I think it's so funny!

The best part was the free bag of Jelly Belly's you get at the end. The kids were so goofy figuring out which ones were which. We also got quite a few bags of Jelly Flops and Jer and I got a little bag of our favorites. Jer-toasted Marshmallow and coconut. Me-Juicy pear, watermelon and buttered popcorn. Mmm!
Jenna couldn't get enough! At least she was good on the way home!
After we went to an outlet Mall and got the kids some clothes. Uncle Austin got himself some shoes and we got to have McDonald's too! It was even still light out when we got home!

Swim Lessons!

I was so excited when Grandma told us that the kids would be able to take swim lessons while we were there. Every weekday morning for two weeks.

Kylee got put in the wrong class, unfortunately, but she ended up learning some things and having a good time. Only three of the 10 days did she cry. She held on to the edge a lot, but was really good on her back. It was worth it. She learned a lot.

Jenna just chilled with us each day during lessons. We ended up letting her swim a couple of days and she loved it too!
In line for diving. I'll give her credit. At least she tried. She ended up doing it standing up. What shocked me though was on one of the last days of lessons, she decided, after going off the low dive a few times, that she'd try the high dive! She not only did it, but did it again to show me! I'm very proud of her!
Diving off her knees. That is her teacher with the towel around her waist. She wasn't very helpful and didn't listen to our concerns and help Kylee like she needed it. Oh, well.

Trying off her feet. Pretty good.
Summer is so hilarious! She is not afraid at all of the water! She had so much fun in her lessons. She was showing off for me here.
She did have to be told not to splash, throw water, or drink the water. She is so crazy.
She learned to swim underwater really fast. She is crazy even when she swims. Flailing her arms and legs wildly. It's so fun to watch her.

Here's Logan with his teacher and class. He loved it! He is a little crazy still and his teacher had to tell him lots of times what to do, but she was patient and just had fun with the kids. He's still pretty hesitant to do some things in the water, but he did try. He puts his face in and eventually jumped off the side into the teachers arms. He mostly just wanted to splash and play the games.
He still had a fat lip here. It was from bowling actually. I'll tell about that in a later post.
This girl Lily helped in Logan and in Kylee class. She is so sweet. The kids loved her!
They were playing a game here. I'm so glad they got to take lessons!

Bowling

Here are the rest of our bowling pictures. The last time we went there were a few fits and kids that didn't want to do it any more. This time we all had so much fun. And Logan and Summer loved it the whole time! We did have to keep Jenna entertained near the end, but it was fun anyway.

Kylee didn't think she did very good, but we got her to have fun anyway. At least she didn't act like the kid next to us that looked her age. He totally threw a loud fit every time he bowled. It was embarrassing! And his Mom totally ignored it. Hm. A very different way of parenting than me!

Everyone had fun!

The Reno Aces!

The next Sunday we got to all go to a Reno Aces Baseball game. We were hoping that Jers brother Scott and his wife Shannan and their kids could come from California for the weekend and go with us, but Scott is a CHP (California Highway Patrol) and got called to testify in court for some dummy he ticketed. But Jers other brother Brady and his wife Kaitlyn came with their son Jackson. It was free shirt for kids under 12 day so everyone but Jenna got one. (We didn't buy her a ticket so she didn't get one.) The kids were so excited.

Logan chillin' with Grandma. The park even has a kids area and they got to go play there a couple of times.

So we were going to get the kids some food and a lady stopped me and asked if Jenna could run in the small fry race. After explaining what that was I of course wanted her to. Kylee went and got Jer so she could run from him to me on the side of the field. She got a free shirt and some coupons for free fries for doing it! It worked out perfect so they all got shirts!
She almost started running before they started so Jer had to stop her. Then she hesitated when they said start and didn't win. She still had fun.
After the game they let all the kids run the bases. They lined up and followed them down to the field. The camera got bumped to manual and Jer didn't notice so the pictures are fuzzy, but you can still see how much fun they had! Here's Logan. His cousin Jackson, who is 3, ran around a couple of times. He is a huge baseball fan! A lady had to take his hand and get him to go to Brady. It was so cute.
Summer was one of the first kids out there. She cut in line I think, but boy was she serious about running the bases!
Kylee went with Jenna. She was whining most of the time wanting me.
After the game Grandpa and Grandma took us to get McDonald's ice cream cones. And we got some free fries from Jenna running the race. I love how much she loved the ice cream. What a cute face.
