Easter at Grandpa and Grandma Hayes'

Logan got his birthday present from G and G while we were there. He was so excited to get this 4-wheeler. He loves our real one.
My little (o-k, younger) sister Cathryn's birthday is on the 28th so we celebrated for her and Logan.

This is a Mickey Mouse flashlight. He likes it too! But mostly he loves Grandpa!
My oldest nephew's Brandon and Christian hid the eggs behind G and G house. The kids had so much fun finding them.
This is my sister Christine's second to the youngest of seven, Fredrick. He and Logan are a lot alike. Very adventurous. The sat down together to eat their spoils!
Kylee and Summer. They are getting so big.
Cheese!
I was so glad to get the idea from lots of friends and family to not forget the true meaning of Easter, so on Saturday night the girls and I made Easter story cookies. I have had the instructions for a couple of years, I don't even remember where I got it. It was perfect. With each ingredient you tell a part of the story of the crucifiction and the resurrection. Then you put the cookies in the oven, turn it off and seal it up (with tape) and wait till morning, like Jesus' friends and diciples waited. So Easter morning we read about the resurrection and ate cookies. I think it helped the kids see what is more important. Although, I sure laughed later when in our primary class the other teacher asked if Easter was about candy and Summer yelled "Yes!" Well maybe it will stay in her brain a little longer next year!
