9 Months!

So Jenna went to her nine month check-up today and it's so nice to see that she is growing. She still seems so chunky to me even though she is only in the 4th percentile for weight. She weighs 15 lbs 10 oz! and is 26 or 27 inches long. I'm too lazy to go down and look on her paper. I just know she grew and inch and a half. Her head grew quite a bit too. Of course they asked all the nine month questions.

Does she crawl? No

Does she roll over both ways? No

Does she sit up by herself? Yes

Does she pick up food with first finger and thumb and feed herself? Yes

Does she babble and imitate sounds? Yes

I told him Logan didn't roll over either until 10 months, when he rolled and crawled all at once. He says he's not worried, but I do need to make her have tummy time to strengthen her arm and shoulder muscles. I did tummy time with all three of the other kids, faithfully! I have been so lazy with Jenna. I really just forget to do it. And of course she hates it. But she loves food so maybe I'll try putting food on the floor and see how that works.

She still doesn't have teeth. I'm glad mostly. I hear teeth are healthier the longer they take coming in. And she can't bite me yet. (Well she still has tried that, thankfully it doesn't hurt as bad yet so maybe I'll break her of that before teeth come) The only hard thing is that she loves food, but I can't give her a whole lot of choices cause she can't bite things yet. It's ok. I can wait.

So Jenna is doing good. I don't want her to grow up too fast and it seems she is humoring me! What a good girl!
