My poor sweet boy!

I want to cry again, right now, just thinking about it! My poor sweet boy got his fingernail ripped off today, by a shopping cart! I totally blame myself. I know, it's not really my fault either, but I can't help but feel a guilty. We were shopping and he was being a little crazy, like usual. He decided to get under the cart on that little rack, and for the first time, I let him. AAAHH! I wish I wouldn't have. I was going along and heard some noise, and knew immediately it was Logan. When I looked under, I saw him holding up one hand in shock and his finger bright red.
.
.
I will never forget the look on his face. It was like "I'm sorry Mom", then terror when we both saw the nail hanging off, and blood going everywhere. He cried pretty loud and the workers there came over immediately to help, and I wrapped it in a wipe. Then I called Cynthia! The first person that came to mind was my awesome, smart, certified! sister! She told me just what to do. Then, cause I was so scared, she let me come to her house. She knew just what to do. We cut the hair thin piece holding on the nail, off, and cleaned it out. Put on something for the pain, and packed it with Dr. Christopher's Complete Bone and Tissue Ointment, and wrapped it up good. He has been totally fine ever since! I changed the dressing before bed, and he didn't cry at all. The ointment will help it heal so much faster. We just have to wait for the nail to grow back. I think I was more traumatized than he was. I cried a few times after.
.
Logan has such a strong will and will let you know if he is upset. He throws good fits! But he is also the sweetest thing ever! He says he loves me all the time, and still gives me kisses at any time of day. He says sorry when he does something wrong, and usually makes Jenna scream cause he's giving her kisses! It was so hard to see him hurting and knowing I could have helped him avoid it! Oh well, I need to remember that he will be fine!

So, after all that drama, I wish I could say April fools! But here are pictures to prove I can't. Beware, it is kind of yucky!Well, on some happier notes. I made Jer and Logan matching ties for Easter! Now I need to make three dresses! I better hurry up!

Here is Jenna wearing Kylee's flip flops. (Yes she wore flip flops the other day, and today we woke up to a foot of snow!) Jenna can even walk in them!

Logan took this picture of me yesterday. Gosh, I look horrible from his view! Suck in that pooch!

Grandma was here again! This time we got to make Egg shaped rice crispy treats dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. The kids had so much fun!

Today is also my sister-in-law, Kaitlyn's, birthday. (Jer's brother Brady's wife) I thought again when Grandma called that it might be another April Fools joke, but no. Kaitlyn's water broke today. She is 32 weeks along. Same as I was when Kylee was born! They are going to try to keep her pregnant as long as possible. Pray that all goes well with her!

Jer's other brother Jordan and his wife Rachel, after much hard, labor and ending in a c-section, had a baby boy on Tuesday. He was huge! 8 lbs. 15 oz. Maxwell Jordan Ovard is his name! Can't wait to see pictures of him! (they live in Nevada)

Poor boy! I would be emotional too...it's always nice to have someone to lean on in that situation. Your so talented! Making ties and dresses, wow!

Well, I'm laughing a little bit, because I have been there and done that. Poor thing though, I hope his finger heals quickly.

That happened to Braden too. Luckily his finger was just bruised and was better the next day. I probably shouldn't but I've started letting my boys get on that rack.(It makes shopping with 3 boys so much easier and less stressful) I just have to keep reminding them to keep their hands away from the wheels and off the floor. But of course accidents happen. I know exactly how you feel. Thank goodness you were able to lean on Cynthia for some help! That is always nice to have someone to help through those traumatic experiences!!
