Life

So I've been waiting to post something about my parents, cause it's been a little crazy, and we weren't sure exactly what was happening.

For those of my friends who haven't heard, my parents have split up after being married almost 37 years! I haven't said this out loud to anyone in my family yet, but I think they know how I feel, but I AM SO GLAD! I think this is just what was needed for both of them! Dad has tried too many times to count to be better, and Mom has dealt with crap for too many years! Now Mom is happy everyday, and Dad is really trying to get better! I hope he really does this time! I think her being gone is the only way he will really do it. Mom is staying with her brother in AF for now and tells me that she is really happy when she gets "home".

I pray for them both daily and I try not to give too much of my opinion so that it will truly be their decisions, but I can't help but be happy. It's only been a few weeks so there is a long way to go. It has been so stressful, and exciting at the same time. My Dad has driven me nuts, and made me understand again why my Mom deserves some freedom and sanity! I'll tell more details when we know more of what will happen. We would love any extra prayers anyone can give ;)

I've seen that in someone I know too. I know what you mean!

It is sad when a split up is actually for the best. After my parents split, I saw a side in my mom that I never knew existed!! She went from leading a very depressed life to being happy and saying words I never heard from her: "I love you!" I never in my childhood life thought I would have a good relationship with her. But I do!! I wish I could have had as good as a mother then that I do now. But I am so glad that my kids can enjoy her this way! I hope your mom feels joy in life. And that your dad gets what he needs to help himself and your family, that his story can turn out better than my dad's. I wish all your family the best and hope things turn out great for the both of them. Good luck

Wow...long time coming. Sometime it IS the answer. I hope the best for both of them.
