Too early!

So on Sunday, July 6th, my body decided to go into labor. Over 6 weeks too early. I kept thinking all morning that the contraction would go away. I've have lots of Braxton-Hicks since about 4 months and they always go away. But I got all the kids ready and we were sitting in sacrament meeting and I realized that they were now only 7 minutes apart. On my early labor warning sheet it says if you have more than four contractions in an hour you should go get checked out. I had had at least that many in half and hour. So I gave my lesson book to the girl behind me to give to my team partner and went home to tell Jer. He was so calm. He's like o-k lets go. Once we got to the hospital and got all settled in, they were 3-5 minutes apart and I was dialated to a 2 and 90% effaced. Jeremy's mom came and got the kids, and I was just waiting to see what the doctor said. Jeremy was so patient. He kept telling me that what ever happens, happens and it will be o-k. I mention once that I was thirsty and was shocked when he got right up and said "do you want some ice?" He went right out to get me some!

So I wasn't hurting, really, but I was afraid she would be born that day. Finally the nurse came and gave me a Beta-methazone shot for the baby's lungs, and some other shot to stop the contractions. After two more of those shots, they completely stopped. They sent me home, after being there four or five hours, with a prescription for some pills that also stop contractions. The next day I went back and got a second steroid shot for her lungs. So if she does come soon, there is a better chance that she won't have to go to the NICU. Or at least not as long. But I will do what I can to get her to stay in 2 to 3 more weeks. In three weeks she will be 37 weeks and considered full term. Wish me luck!

Woah, good luck. I hope the baby will wait a little longer to come! I'm glad they were able to stop the contractions. Good luck with everything!

I am glad things calmed down. You have had far too many early babies. What is with your girls? They just are in a hurry to come out. All kidding aside, I hope all goes well. We love you celeste!
